From 2014 to 2015, Heather worked as a private criminal defense attorney with The Colbert Law firm where she attended an intensive Driving Under the Influence (DUIs) seminar and handled numerous cases from the investigation stage and pre-filing through trial in Orange, Volusia, Brevard, Sumter, Polk, Seminole, and Osceola counties. In both positions, she handled hundreds of bond hearings, pre-trial motions, motions to suppress, motions to dismiss, and dozens of trials for her clients.
