Erik J. Olson chatted with Melissa Habberfield is a founding partner and managing partner of Habberfield Kaszycki LLP and the past president of the Defense Trial Lawyers Association of Western New York. She helps clients defend Workers' Compensation and Personal injury claims. Habberfield Kaszycki has attorneys all across New York State including NYC but is still a small boutique law firm that was established in 2016.
She was inspired to pursue a legal career after watching the O.J. Simpson trial in the 1990s. She saw attorneys Johnnie Cochran, Alan Dershowitz, Robert Kardashian and Robert Shapiro make Simpson’s case and she decided to enter the law profession.
Melissa has a background of being involved in the local soccer communities as she focuses on keeping a work life balance for her employees and partners.
